CHARLES Barkley is not pleased with the Denver Nuggets’ decision to bypass their trip to the White House.

The NBA Hall of Famer said on Thursday he has a problem with the Nuggets for canceling their trip after a scheduling conflict and believes it’s an “honor and a privilege” to go.

The 60-year-old NBA legend and media personality shared his thoughts on the popular award-winning show Inside the NBA on TNT.

Denver won their first championship title in franchise history last season, defeating the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals.

They were originally set to visit the White House in January but had to shift the date at the request of the Biden administration.

That date was March 18, and according to TNT’s NBA insider Chris Haynes, the Nuggets canceled the new time as they are reportedly setting their focus on winning the Western Conference No. 1 seed. ‘

Denver plays the current No. 1 seed, the Minnesota Timberwolves, on March 19, which Haynes cited as one of the main reasons for the cancellation.

Barkley sounded off on the decision and thought it was disrespectful of the Nuggets for not going.

“Are they flying Southwest or something?” Barkley said.

“Come on, man. I actually have a problem with this whole thing that’s happened in sports the last few years, not just now.”

“It’s an honor and a privilege to go to the White House.”

“It shouldn’t matter who’s in the White House. It’s an honor and a privilege to go to the White House.

“You should always go. But these guys act like they’re flying Southwest…”

“Whether you like the president or not… it’s an honor and a privilege to go to the White House and you should always go.”

Barkley never won an NBA title during his career but had a chance to go in 1992 after George Bush invited the Olympic team to the White House, but he declined to go.

The Golden State Warriors and the Milwaukee Bucks have attended the White House the past two seasons after winning their NBA titles.
