PRESIDENT Joe Biden has likely gone through extreme anti-aging methods that could put off his voters, a stylist has warned.
Fans and critics are holding their breath before an 81-year-old Biden attempts to restore confidence in the American people during Thursday’s State of the Union Address.
The oldest president in US history, Biden’s mental clarity and cognitive abilities have been fueling voter concern as he runs for a second term.
With Biden and former President Donald Trump coming out as clear winners on Super Tuesday, it’s looking like a repeat of 2020 is in the works.
The two are neck and neck in the polls, with a recent survey showing that Trump has a slight upper hand, The Wall Street Journal reported.
This has set up Biden with the perfect chance to remind his electorate why they put him in office in 2020 and attempt to chip away at Trump’s undeniable popularity.
However, with a history of gaffes, tripping on wires, and declining media opportunities, it’s unclear how Biden will perform during the hour-long speech.
Despite his advanced age, Biden still manages to come off as capable through his smart suits and ties, according to celebrity stylist and image consultant Amanda Sanders.
“I think he’s clean and he’s classic,” Sanders said in an exclusive conversation with The U.S. Sun.
“You notice he’s well dressed, but you don’t have to look into the details.”
But sometimes, the efforts to make him look capable and strong may go a bit too far, Sanders warned.
Biden has never admitted to getting plastic surgery, but multiple top surgeons claimed he got a facelift, brow lift, and hair transplant.
In Sanders’ opinion, the results of the alleged procedures are obvious and can be off-putting to some people.
“I’m not a plastic surgeon, but it certainly appears that he has maybe fillers and maybe some Botox,” she said.
“I notice his head more than anything in terms of facial expression, and it doesn’t really move.”
Sanders, an image consultant who has worked with top clients like Chris Rock, suggested that Biden show his age as it could give him a more wise and grandfatherly impression.
“Truthfully, I would just let it relax a little,” she said.
“I mean, we know his age and we know that something’s been altered. That shouldn’t be a topic of conversation.”
The stylist recommended using glasses to hide some imperfections while looking intelligent.
“Strong glasses could hide a little bit of his age,” she said.
Compared to Trump, Sanders felt that Biden gives a great impression with his style, but that doesn’t mean a guaranteed ticket for four more years.
On Thursday night, Biden is expected to describe the achievements his administration brought during his first term and implore voters to give him a second chance.
It’s an uphill battle for Biden, who has seen some of the worst popularity ratings in US history.
Biden plans to win back favor by announcing a plan to increase the flow of humanitarian aid on the Gaza coast as the war between Israel and Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, the AP reported.
He will also lay out an attack plan for a second term and explain how he will build on the momentum of a strong economy and low unemployment rates.
The White House will be providing a livestream of the speech that starts at 9 pm EST.
