PRINCE Harry and Meghan risk increasing the wrath of the US President by donating huge sums to anti-Trump political causes.

The Sussexes and Mr Trump have been in a war of words for years, with the Republican US leader last week describing Harry’s wife as “terrible”.

And now it has emerged that the couple’s Archewell charity has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democrat-linked funds.

Members of the Royal Family are meant to remain politically neutral and neither Harry nor Meghan endorsed a US election candidate.

But publicly available documents show Archewell donated $146,500 (£116,400) in 2023 to Jiore Craig — a media strategist dubbed the Democrats’ go-to for “countering disinformation”.

It also handed $25,000 (£19,900) to the Marcy Lab School in Brooklyn, where Craig joined the board in 2024.

And in 2022, the political PR took in $120,000 (£95,000) from Archewell.

Craig, 33, previously worked at a Washington DC research firm which boasts of helping Democrat Bill Clinton become President in 1992.

One of its strategies for the last election was to counter narratives about then President Joe Biden’s old age before he pulled out of the race.

Archewell also gave $90,000 (£72,000) to Markup News Inc, a New York-based site funded by Craigslist founder and Democrat donor Craig Newmark.

And in 2023 it donated $250,000 (£199,000) to a charity set up by Mr Biden’s daughter Ashley.

Meghan has previously branded Trump “misogynistic” and “divisive”.

And in a prank call from a fake Greta Thunberg, Harry once said Trump had “blood on his hands” over his environmental policies.

Harry faces a US visa battle after he confessed to taking drugs.

But Trump last week ruled out deporting him, saying: “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

The Sun understands Trump has such a warm relationship with the King and William that he does not want to cause the family more problems.

A Harry and Meg spokesman said: “They are committed to investing in people and initiatives that truly make a difference.”
