INAUGURATION viewers have reacted with confusion after Donald Trump Jr.’s ex was spotted during the ceremony.
Kimberly Guilfoyle was seen in the Capitol Rotunda on Monday as Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th president.
The TV personality has been earmarked to be the incoming administration’s next ambassador to Greece.
Guilfoyle, 55, dated Donald Trump Jr. for six years between 2018 and 2024 before the couple broke off their engagement.
Shortly afterward, the president’s son went public with his new girlfriend, Bettina Anderson.
Despite their split, Guilfoyle sent a sweet birthday message to Donald Jr. recently.
On Monday, she was spotted grinning as she took her place at the inauguration, which was moved indoors on Friday in response to the brutal cold spell hitting Washington DC.
Her appearance sparked surprise and delight from many of Trump’s supporters.
“The very beautiful and loyal Kim Guilfoyle is at the inauguration,” wrote one user on X, formerly known as Twitter.
They accompanied the post with an emoji of a heart accompanied by an American flag.
“Mum excitedly pointed out Kim Guilfoyle,” wrote another X user. “Talk about being gracious.”
However, another claimed that her seating placement could have been a snub.
“Kimberly Guilfoyle banished to the cheap seats,” the user claimed.
Guilfoyle’s recent outfit choices also grabbed the attention of many for all the wrong reasons.
At a pre-inauguration event in DC, she stole the spotlight with a dress The List described as a “shimmery beaded fringe floor-length flapper dress.”
The picture was shared by attorney Simona Mangiante, who was in attendance at the event.

There was a degree of awkwardness surrounding Guilfoyle’s appearance at the pre-inauguration events as Don Jr. and Bettina Anderson were also spotted.
The president’s son appeared with Anderson, 38, at a cryptocurrency ball on Friday also attended by his ex, the New York Post reported.
Anderson, a Palm Springs socialite, has reportedly expressed a desire to serve in the incoming administration, according to the Post.
She has allegedly been linked with one of the new White House‘s outreach boards or advisory committees.
Anderson is most keen on the top spot on the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities, sources said.
For her part, Guilfoyle is said to have happily accepted the decision to serve the Trump administration as its ambassador in Athens.
President Trump has described her as “perfectly suited to foster strong bilateral relations with Greece,” adding that she would advance US interests on issues “ranging from defense cooperation to trade and economic innovation.”
