THE decadent Inauguration Day White House lunch menu has been revealed, and some offerings are a cheeky nod to Kamala Harris and ex-running mate Tim Walz.
Over 200 guests are dining in the National Statuary Hall of the Washington, D.C., Capitol to celebrate Donald Trump’s official inauguration.

Diners will be greeted with a glass of sparkling wine from Gruet Winery in New Mexico when they sit down in the gorgeous great hall, according to C-SPAN.
Then, the political powerhouses will have a delicious Chesapeake crab cake with tomato tartar, bay sauce, pickled vegetables, romanesco, dill, and chive oil.
It comes as…
- Donald Trump’s inauguration is the first indoor ceremony since 1985
- Trump has a security ring of steel around himself and world leaders
- His grandkids stole the show at the morning’s church service
- Michelle Obama didn’t show up to the inauguration
- Jeff Bezos’ fiancee was blasted for her outfit choice
- The lunch menu has a subtle nod to Kamala Harris
- Harris was slammed for her awkward greeting to JD Vance
- The Bidens welcomed the Trumps into the White House
- Carrie Underwood is set to perform America the Beautiful
Paired with that dish will be a chardonnay from Veritas Vinyards in Monticello, Virginia.
For the second course, lucky guests will feast on an Angus ribeye steak from Omaha, Nebraska, served with broccoli rabe, carrot top herb sauce, red wine truffle jus, and potato gratin.
That dish is paired with a cabernet sauvignon from Napa Valley, California – Harris’ home state.
Finally, the third course will consist of a Minnesota apple ice box terrine with sour cream ice cream and salted caramel, a nod to Walz’s home state.
That delicious dessert comes with a sparkling Korbel wine, also from California.
The theme of this year’s meal is Our Enduring Democracy: A Constitutional Promise.
The menu gave a final nod to Trump’s former rivals despite their embarrassing loss to the former president in November.
According to the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, the luncheon was traditionally prepared by the outgoing president and his first lady.
This year’s menu may have referenced this, as the outgoing administration wishes to show its dedication to a peaceful transfer of power.
According to the JCCIC, the luncheon program includes speeches, gift presentations from the committee, and toasts to the new administration.
It follows Trump’s inauguration at 12 pm ET, which came after a preinaugural tea with President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.
The couples met outside the White House front door, and Biden put aside his differences to tell Trump, “Welcome home.”
Trump strolled up to a warm greeting from his rivals alongside his wife, Melania – who has been praised for her “classy” inauguration outfit.
She is wearing a double-breasted coat designed by Adam Lippes, a boater-style hat by Eric Javits, and dark blue Manolo Blahnik pumps.
Meanwhile, Harris was blasted for her dark outfit, which some critics said was fit for a funeral.
She wore a black pea coat with black pants and paled in comparison to Usha Vance – wife of Vice President-elect JD Vance.
Usha sported a gorgeous powder pink coat, tan boots, and cream-colored gloves and appeared to draw inspiration from style icon Jackie Kennedy Onassis.
